Elevate your finance career as an Associate Director leading the Financial Shared Services team. In this strategic role, you will oversee a high-performing team that provides centralized financial support to multiple divisions and business units across various countries. You will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, standardization, and continuous improvement in shared financial processes, while aligning with the broader goals of the organization.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the performance of the Financial Shared Services team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services across credit and collections, accounts payable, accounts receivable, order management, billing, general ledger, and reporting.

  • Drive the standardization and optimization of financial processes across countries and business units.

  • Ensure alignment of shared services operations with company-wide financial strategies and compliance requirements.

  • Collaborate with divisional finance leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure service quality and responsiveness.

  • Manage transition process for roles moving from the countries to the shared services center.

  • Monitor KPIs and SLAs to ensure high levels of efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

  • Lead initiatives for automation, digitalization, and process improvement within the shared services scope.

  • Ensure robust internal controls and adherence to regulatory and corporate policies across all service lines.

  • Develop and implement talent development strategies to build a strong, agile, and collaborative team.

  • Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations to enhance financial operations and decision-making.

Job Qualifications

Education: 

           Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required.

           Master’s degree in Financial Management, MBA, or equivalent is preferred

Experience: 

  • +10 years of experience in finance roles, including at least 5 years in leadership positions in the finance department.

  • Proven track record in managing Financial Shared Services teams, ideally with regional or international scope.

  • Deep understanding of core finance processes: credit and collections, accounts payable, accounts receivable, order management, billing, general ledger, closing, and reporting.

  • Experience working in multicultural and matrixed environments, with regular interaction with international stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Tagetik) and finance automation tools.

  • Solid knowledge of international accounting standards (GAAP…).

  • Advanced skills in financial analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:    

  • Shared Services Leadership: Proven experience managing regional or global financial shared services teams, as well as transitioning of activities into the shared services centerProcess Optimization: Strong background in standardizing and improving finance processes across diverse environments.

  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Performance Management: Experience in setting and tracking KPIs, SLAs, and driving continuous improvement.

  • Compliance & Controls: Deep understanding of internal controls and regulatory frameworks.

  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

  • Team Development: Commitment to mentoring and growing talent within a multicultural team.
