As a senior member on the OptumRx CPS FP&A team, you will report to the Vice President of Finance and serve as a financial advisor and strategic partner to top CPS business executives. This role is built for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple, competing deliverables , and who can independently manage an operating cadence, create clarity amid ambiguity, and consistently deliver executive-ready insights.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Leadership
- Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes across CPS, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with business objectives
- Own and manage the consolidated forecast and reporting cadence, including establishing clear timelines, dependencies, and review cycles across deliverables
- Drive consistency and quality in executive-level financial outputs, ensuring clear, actionable insights for leadership
- Business Planning & Analysis
- Develop and oversee business planning initiatives that deliver insight-driven analyses and support strategic decision-making
- Conduct ad-hoc financial and operational analyses to support cost optimization and strategic decision-making
- Analytics & Metrics Development
- Design and enhance analytics frameworks and performance metrics to improve visibility into business performance
- Translate complex data into actionable insights that connect results, trends, and business drivers for senior leadership
- System Enhancement & Optimization
- Identify and implement system and process improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, and accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement technology and process upgrades that validate and synthesize data to inform financial planning
- Executive Advisory & Influence
- Serve as a trusted financial advisor to senior leadership, proactively influencing decisions through data-driven insights
- Evaluate financial plans and operational metrics to guide strategic direction
- Ensure alignment across stakeholders by communicating clear recommendations and maintaining a forward-looking perspective
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, develop, and mentor a team in a matrixed environment
- Set clear expectations, delegate effectively, and ensure high-quality deliverables
- Provide oversight and direction across team outputs, ensuring a cohesive and comprehensive financial story is delivered
- Foster a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 7+ years of relevant, high-impact finance experience
- 1+ years in FP&A, P&L ownership, or consolidation-type role
- Proven excellent communication and organization skills
- Demonstrated solid analytics background and attention to details
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in pharmacy, PBM, or broader healthcare environments (e.g., health systems, payers, or healthcare services)
- 1+ years of people leadership including setting direction, delegating effectively, and ensuring high-quality team deliverables
- Experience managing multiple, concurrent deliverables in a fast-paced environment, including prioritization and on-time execution
- Experience with enterprise financial systems such as PeopleSoft/Oracle
- Background creating insight-driven financial analysis with executive-ready narratives
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative and cross-functional environment
- Demonstrated solid business acumen with the ability to proactively partner cross-functionally, validate inputs, and synthesize information into clear recommendations
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, including leveraging evolving technologies to enhance FP&A processes and team productivity

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $112,700 - $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
