Job Description
Based in Singapore, the Associate Director/Director, Investment will support CLASML’s global hospitality investment strategy through end-to-end deal origination and execution, contributing to pipeline growth and delivering well-structured, value-accretive transactions.
Responsibilities
Deal Origination & Pipeline Development
- Proactively source and originate investment opportunities across global markets
- Leverage strong industry networks to access proprietary and off-market deals
- Build and maintain relationships with owners, operators, brokers, and partners
End-to-End Deal Execution
- Lead full transaction lifecycle independently, including evaluation, underwriting, due diligence, and execution
- Prepare and drive internal approval processes (investment papers, memos)
- Lead and support SPA negotiations and transaction structuring
Investment Analysis & Commercial Judgment
- Evaluate opportunities with strong financial, strategic, and risk assessment frameworks
- Provide sound commercial recommendations aligned with CLASML’s investment strategy
- Ensure transactions are well-structured, value-accretive, and execution-ready
Stakeholder Management & Negotiation
- Effectively manage internal and external stakeholders across geographies
- Demonstrate strong negotiation capability and navigate complex deal dynamics
- Partner closely with legal, tax, and finance teams to drive optimal outcomes
Market Coverage & Strategy Execution
- Support execution of CLASML’s global investment mandate at pace
- Monitor market trends, competitive positioning, and sector developments
- Contribute to strategic priorities and capital deployment plans
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business or related discipline
- CFA qualification preferred
- 10 - 15 years of relevant experience in real estate investment, preferably within hospitality or cross-border transactions
- Proven ability to independently originate and execute deals end-to-end
- Strong network and connectivity within the real estate / hospitality ecosystem
- Excellent financial modelling, analytical, and investment evaluation skills
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management capability
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global environment
