Position Description
The Equity Derivatives Quant team is looking for an experienced developer to join our Delta One Quant team, which covers SBL, Equity Swap trade processing, business analytics, risk control, inventory management, and client reporting.
This role requires the candidate to become deeply familiar with the end‑to‑end lifecycle of products and trade flows across physical and synthetic prime brokerage, including Equity Swaps, Stock Loan, Prime Brokerage, Execution & Clearing, Client Reporting, Regulatory & Market Infrastructure, Risk & Margin, and inventory optimization.
You will work within a system comprising numerous Python services producing real-time outputs and interaction with execution platform. The role also involves supporting quantitative research initiatives—such as inventory utilization analysis, funding and financing optimization, and balance-sheet–efficient trade structuring—leveraging large datasets to drive better decision-making, as well as performing code review and verification to ensure that prototypes and models meet the robustness, performance, and integration standards required for production deployment.
A successful candidate will gain exposure to both new and complex technologies as well as in-depth Delta One, Prime Services, and inventory management business knowledge.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Assist in the design and implementation of pricing, risk, P&L, business analytics, inventory metrics, and data reconciliation infrastructure.
Support and enhance the existing business platform and related infrastructure, including:
> Inventory monitoring and stock borrow/loan systems
> Availability and locate management tools
Conduct quantitative research related to:
> Inventory optimization (e.g., stock loan demand/supply, internalization rates, funding cost analysis)
> Equity swap and SBL profitability, balance sheet and capital usage
> Trade flow, revenue, and risk analytics to identify patterns and opportunities for process and revenue improvement
Develop and maintain analytics and reporting tools to support:
> Inventory forecasting and scenario analysis
> Utilization, concentration, and liquidity risk metrics
> Management and client-level reporting for SBL and Equity Swaps
Support traders in their daily work by:
> Resolving production and analytical issues
> Collecting and refining requirements for new features and tools
> Developing tactical tools, dashboards, and reports for inventory, risk, and P&L visualization
Design and develop new components for the platform and infrastructure extensions and enhancements, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
Collaborate with trading, prime services, operations, and technology teams on:
> Improving trading and operational workflows
> Enhancing data quality, data models, and research datasets
> Implementing strategic solutions for regulatory, reporting, and risk-control needs
Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or Quantitative Finance from a top-tier university.
4+ years of experience and knowledge of Prime Services, SBL, Equity Derivatives risk and pricing; exposure to inventory management or stock borrow/loan optimization is a plus.
Solid programming experience, strong in Python and familiar with SQL; Java and/or C++ is a plus.
GUI development experience (e.g., web-based dashboards or front-end for traders) is a strong plus.
Good teamwork and communication skills, both written and oral.
Strong analytical skills and a logical approach to problem solving; ability to work in a fast-paced environment, liaising with demanding stakeholders to understand complex requirements and to prioritize work under pressure with minimal supervision for the level of experience.
Self-motivated, self-driven, and a lifelong learner, able to bring positivity and enthusiasm to propose potential solutions for architectural and design considerations, including those related to inventory and funding optimization

Skills Required
