What You’ll Be Doing:
Job Summary
The AD, Digital Workplace Engineering oversees a team of engineers for implementing, managing and continuously improving Evolent's workplace technologies and integrations. This role drives the team to automate or eliminate repeatable tasks and reduce administrative overhead for themselves and support - operations teams. The AD owns the team's roadmaps and the life cycle, and maintains a strong relationship with technology vendors, Internal Communications, IT, security and legal or compliance teams.
Essential Functions
• Define, implement, manage and continuously improve Microsoft 365, Windows 365 Cloud PCs, Copilot and related workplace technologies.
• Managerial responsibilities include hiring, managing, coaching and developing direct and indirect reports.
• Meet frequently with associated vendors and service providers.
• Establish roadmaps, engineering strategy and operating standards.
• Identify, measure, publish and manage metrics, experience-level agreements
(XLAs), and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to show improvements to digital workplace technology.
• Modernize & optimize endpoint management and patching to ensure security and availability,
while minimizing the potential impact on employee experience.
• Advocate for secure computing practices and procedures, and communicate best practices throughout the company.
• Collaborate closely with security, identity and networking leaders to ensure secure, seamless delivery of digital workplace technologies.
• Participate in the major incident management process to investigate, diagnose and remediate in-scope technology outages.
• Ensure alignment with data retention, compliance and e-discovery processes.
• Ensure that documentation and training are in place for workplace operations
teams.
• Support resolution of high-priority outages, troubleshooting efforts and capacity/availability planning sessions.
• Partner with the Adoption team to support the creation and vetting of resources to drive adoption.
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years in IT leadership, with experience of managing technical teams and vendors.
• 6+ years of technical experience implementing, managing and supporting digital
workplace technologies with a strong background in Microsoft 365, Exchange, Windows 365 Cloud PCs, Purview, etc.
• Experience leading enterprise IT deployment projects, building technology roadmaps and aligning with enterprise architecture.
• Strong understanding of digital workplace technologies (hardware, software, services and SaaS tools).
• Strong understanding of adjacent technologies (identity, security, endpoint management, vulnerability management, asset management, IT service management, analytics, etc.).
• Working knowledge of managing digital workplace tools, configuration management, identity and access management, active directory, desktop virtualization, collaboration platforms and other cloud-based services.
• Awareness of modern management techniques and concepts.
• Experience implementing continuous engineering or other agile methods to keep pace with frequent changes and to reduce complexity.
• Working knowledge of: ITSM platforms. Digital experience and network performance monitoring tools. Desktop and application virtualization. Endpoint management and security tools. Identity and access management tools. Microsoft Windows. Microsoft 365. Generative AI.
• Ability to facilitate brainstorming, problem solving and root-cause analysis discussions to determine and remediate the sources of digital friction.
• Natural excitement and ability to learn technologies and explain technical issues to a variety of audiences and levels.
• Passionate about digital employee experience, with an awareness of the latest digital trends.
Preferred Qualifications
• Support digital workplace technology projects and planning.
• Advocate for advanced analytics and automation to streamline efficiencies.
• Work closely with operations, governance and adoption partners to drive coordination and collaboration throughout the organization.
Preferred Education
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
Preferred Certifications
• Microsoft 365, Intune, Security, ITSM, and GenAI related

Technical Requirements:
We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $130,000-145,000. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.Top Skills
