The Role
The Associate Director of Data Logistics will serve as the connective tissue between media operations, analytics, platform engineering, vendors, and client stakeholders to govern taxonomy, improve data quality, enable scalable UTM/data collection frameworks, and support marketing technology integrations.
Taxonomy Governance & Data Standards
• Develop and evolve campaign, placement, creative, and UTM taxonomy frameworks
• Maintain governance standards for naming conventions, business logic, and approval workflows
• Develop and maintain documentation, and taxonomy value definitions across clients
• Partner with media, analytics, creative, and client teams to ensure consistent usage and interpretation of taxonomy values
• Monitor taxonomy health and coordinate remediation of errors or missing data across teams
Cross-Functional Leadership
• Work with multiple internal and external teams to understand data flows of various martech solutions (e.g. ad servers, DSPs, taxonomy governance platforms, GA4, etc.) and ensure UTM and marketing measurement processes are in place and optimized across teams
• Support technical reviews and proof-of-concept initiatives for data tools and related marketing technology
• Develop AI solutions to limit processes prone to error or that could be improved with automation
GA4 Tracking and QA
• Work with activation teams and ad tech partners to implement and QA UTM parameters to maximize measurement
• Investigate discrepancies across reporting platforms, particularly GA4, and ad technology (e.g. CM360, DV360, etc.) and adjust as needed
• Coordinate root-cause analysis and resolution across agency, client, analytics, and engineering stakeholders
Client Communication
• Work directly with clients to ensure taxonomy and measurement needs are met in accordance with their marketing objectives
• Communicate process and updates on ongoing projects related to the above tasks when necessary
• Serve as a point of contact for client analytics and technical leads for technical connections, internal processes and as a point of escalation
• Translate technical language into “layman’s” terms to ensure understanding across a variety of client stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise
Required Qualifications
• 5-8+ years of experience in marketing technology, ad operations, digital media, analytics, and/or data governance
• Strong understanding of digital media platforms and how data flows through buying, ad serving, analytics, and reporting environments
• Experience working with GA4, CM360, DV360, SA360, and/or similar marketing data systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot data quality issues across multiple platforms and clearly document findings, impacts, and recommended resolutions
• Strong project management, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills
• Ability to problem solve across multiple teams and willingness to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to find compromises on conflicting priorities
Skills Required
