Your new position

As Associate Director, Commercial, you will play a pivotal role in Zealand Pharma's global commercial organization. You will drive commercial efforts specific to competitive intelligence, life cycle management and pipeline evaluation, HCP global engagement strategy, and other related work contributing to Zealand Pharma realizing its ambitions in obesity and metabolic health. Working at the intersection of science, strategy, and stakeholder engagement, this is a high-impact role for a commercially minded professional ready to influence decisions across the organization.

We offer exciting responsibilities:

  • Lead commercial competitive intelligence (CI) activities, monitoring the external landscape and translating insights into implications and actionable commercial strategies in partnership with internal colleagues and external partners
  • Support pipeline and lifecycle management (LCM) activities, contributing to asset evaluation and long-term strategy in partnership with our disease area strategy team
  • Develop and execute the global HCP engagement strategy, ensuring alignment across markets and functions
  • Build and manage relationships with medical and patient associations to strengthen Zealand's external positioning
  • Serve as the primary HEOR/IEP liaison, connecting health economics and outcomes research with commercial planning
  • Work with market research and analytics colleagues to generate insights and analysis that supports commercial decision-making and performance tracking

Your profile

You bring a strategic mindset and a collaborative working style, with the ability to translate complex data and market dynamics into clear commercial implications and direction. You are comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders — from scientific experts to external partners — and you thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. You are proactive, structured, and driven by meaningful outcomes.

  • Solid experience in commercial pharma, biotech or consulting, with exposure to competitive intelligence, analytics, commercial, and/or new product planning
  • Understanding of and practice interpreting commercial datasets to derive implications and actionable strategies
  • Demonstrated experience in HCP engagement strategy and/or medical/patient association relationship management
  • Knowledge of HEOR, IEP frameworks as they relate to asset strategy and planning
  • Experience supporting pipeline or LCM activities in a commercial or cross-functional context
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills across geographies and functions
  • Fluency in English

Your new team

You will join the Commercial function at Zealand Pharma, working closely with commercial colleagues and collaborating across Corporate and Medical CI, New Product Planning, Medical Affairs, Market Analytics, Global Strategy, and Roche/ZP Alliance teams. The role is based in Denmark and sits within a team that is central to shaping how Zealand Pharma brings its innovative metabolic pipeline to patients and healthcare systems worldwide.

Skills Required

  • Experience in commercial pharma, biotech, or consulting with exposure to competitive intelligence, analytics, commercial, and/or new product planning.
