The big picture: Axios is a media company dedicated to providing trustworthy, award-winning news content in an audience-first format. We are hiring an Associate Director, Client Partnerships to join our growing advertising team, reporting to the Head of Strategic Partnerships!

  • 5+ years’ experience in sales, specifically in the digital media/news industry 
  • Established relationships with key agencies and brands
  • Experience in an outbound sales environment 
  • Understanding of digital media, online marketing technology, and Axios’ competitive landscape
  • Exceptionally collaborative, both within your own team and cross-functionally 
  • Willingness to travel and attend social events and engagements
  • Growth mindset with hunger to constantly learn and improve your craft 
  • Comfortable with a mix of outbound sales strategy as well as the nurturing of inbound leads and existing client relationships

Starting salary for this role is in the range of $67,000 - $90,000 and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills. This range does not include other compensation and benefits. Axios' compensation philosophy takes into account cost of labor differentials across the country. Because this is a remote-optional job posting, this salary range takes into account all possible locations within the United States, but candidates will only be eligible for the salary range for their location.

Note that the total compensation offered for this role includes incremental variable compensation based on sales territory, which is contingent upon the successful achievement of predetermined sales targets.
