What You’ll Be Doing:

The Client Analytics team provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with key business, analytics, product, and operational leaders to deliver client-specific insights and drive data-informed decision-making. Our team serves as strategic advisors, analysts, and subject matter experts, leveraging data to uncover meaningful business insights. Role Overview

The Associate Director role on Client Analytics will support both internal teams (EAS, Specialty Operations) and external partners, delivering analyses that drive Evolent’s value proposition. This role requires a blend of technical expertise (SAS, SQL, Excel, BI tools) and consultative skills to transform complex data into actionable insights and compelling narratives for stakeholders.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Strategic Data Analytics & Insights: Lead advanced analyses of healthcare authorization, claims, membership data, and clinical outcomes to uncover cost drivers, utilization trends, and opportunities for integrated care solutions using SAS, SQL, Excel, and Power BI (or similar BI tools).
     
  • Enterprise-Wide Value Story Development: Synthesize insights across Evolent’s specialty and clinical products to create a unified, compelling value narrative that demonstrates our impact on members and providers
     
  • Consultative Leadership & Problem-Solving: Act as a thought partner to senior stakeholders, proactively identifying business challenges, refining analytical approaches, and delivering strategic recommendations that drive enterprise-wide decision-making.
     
  • Scalable & Innovative Solution Development: Design and implement standardized, scalable analytical frameworks that enhance efficiency, consistency, and impact across internal teams and external partners.
     
  • Advanced Reporting & Compliance: Lead the development of regulatory and ad hoc reporting strategies, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with evolving business needs.
     
  • Data-Driven Storytelling: Craft high-impact presentations and data visualizations that articulate complex analytical findings in clear, actionable ways for executive and client audiences.
     
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership: Serve as a key liaison between analytics, clinical, product, and account management teams to drive alignment, foster collaboration, and deliver high-quality insights that enhance Evolent’s market position.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Public Health, or a related discipline).
  • 4+ years of analytics & reporting experience in healthcare, including medical economics, cost/utilization analysis, and membership trend reporting.
  • 4+ years of SQL and SAS programming experience working with large healthcare datasets.
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to develop impactful data visualizations and present insights clearly and concisely using PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to extract meaningful insights from both quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Self-motivated problem-solver with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Effective collaborator who thrives in cross-functional environments, working seamlessly with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of prior authorization processes, reporting, and key performance indicators (e.g., approval rates, turnaround times, PMPM, trend drivers), with a working knowledge of healthcare claims and reimbursement methodologies.
  • Experience presenting actionable business insights to client executives and internal leadership is preferred.
  • Familiarity with value-based care models and utilization management frameworks is preferred.

Technical Requirements:

We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.

The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $100,000 - 115,000. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
