The Position

Biosimilar Business is one of the growth catalysts for Organon. Associate Director, biosimilar marketing at Strategy and Corporate Affairs at Organon Japan is responsible for building and executing a launch strategy of biosimilar products in pipeline, and planning and operating marketing and sales activities post launch. This is not a traditional marketing role. Organon Japan is a lean organization by purpose. You will be able to manage various activities in addition to traditional promotional actions as well as collaboration with a diverse range of internal stakeholders of commercial and non-commercial functions and global colleagues. You need to be strategic and innovative in operation and enjoy solving problems while ensuring the highest quality standards and conducting all activities in an ethical and compliant manner.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute launch and marketing strategies and promotion plans leveraging his/her expertise and experience in biosimilar business in a collaborative manner with relevant internal functions in Japan and globally

  • Build and manage solid relationships with major external stakeholders including KOLs, academic societies and/or relevant associations

  • Design and implement innovative projects and activities based on thorough understanding of customer perspectives

  • Establish sales forecast and clear KPIs. Manage them and always look for improvement opportunities

  • Lead strong collaboration with Global and Regional Colleagues

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Be innovative with problem solving skills and decision-making at the right timing taking smart risks respecting compliance and regulations

  • Collaborate proactively with local and global colleagues and cross-functionally

  • Maintain accountability and sense of ownership

  • Learn continuously from changing environments. Demonstrate resilience

  • 3+ years of marketing and commercial operation experience in biosimilar business in pharmaceutical companies (Requirement)

  • Strong strategic skills: problem solving, insight synthesis and effective communication (constructing persuasive story, preparing presentation materials and presenting)

  • Track records of successful stakeholder management across a variety of functions in a complex situation; cross-border experience is preferred

  • Change management experience

  • Purpose-oriented, open-minded, agile learning and resilient mindset

  • Desirable experience: market access, and/or external stakeholder management (such as government officials or policy makers)

  • Language fluency: Japanese (at native level) and English (business level)
