The Associate Director, Analytics & Insights will lead best-in-class business analytics work for the Brand & Sales teams, developing and implementing advanced data-driven solutions to address complex business challenges. This individual will work with stakeholders to understand the requirements, utilizing the appropriate tools and methods. This growth-driven leader will lead activities in the following areas: Global and regional macro economy and category analysis; Size of prize measurement of markets and market opportunities; consumer trends; Shelf analytics and shopper psychology; Line review leadership and guidance. The Associate Director of Analytics & Insights will lead people through direct reporting relationships as well as leading people and teams in project work.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead the design, development, and execution of analytics and insights projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
  • Data Analysis and Modeling: Apply advanced statistical and analytical methods to large, complex datasets to identify patterns and trends and generate actionable business insights.
  • Business Impact: Translate complex data findings into clear, concise presentations and recommendations for key stakeholders, driving informed decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ensure adoption of insights through thorough understanding of the business problem and commitment to business adoption, facilitated by positive relationships.
  • Innovation: Stay updated on the latest analytics and insights tools and methodologies, identifying opportunities to incorporate new approaches into projects.
  • Team Leadership: Liaise between Brand & Sales teams and A&I team. Recommend approaches for the A&I team to support Brand business objectives: external data, analytics or reporting methods, personnel needed. 

 


Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, Market Research, or a related field and 7+ years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, Market Research, or a related field and 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Expertise in market, shelf and assortment analysis
  • Proven experience leading data focused projects and delivering impactful results
  • Expertise in statistical analysis, advanced analytics, and best-in-class data visualization techniques
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, or other relevant analytics languages
  • 3-5 years of experience creating and managing visualizations in Power BI, Tableau, or similar technology
  • Advanced skills in SQL for data manipulation and querying
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey technical insights to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across different departments
  • A broad understanding of retail analytics, with a focus on CPG goods across multiple retail channels
  • Familiarity with third party sourced and syndicated data sets like Circana, NielsenIQ, Scintilla, and others
  • 3+ years directly leading, managing, and developing analytics talent
  • Experience working with retailer point-of-sale and category data portals (e.g., Walmart Luminate/Retail Link, Amazon Vendor Central, Target, Kroger/84.51°)
  • Familiarity with space planning and assortment optimization tools (e.g., JDA/Blue Yonder, Apollo)

 

Physical Demands:

This is primarily an office-based role. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, operate a computer for extended periods, and communicate clearly in both verbal and written form. The employee must occasionally stand, walk, and lift up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to focus when reading printed and on-screen material. Periodic travel to company offices, retailer headquarters, or customer sites may be required.
