Our Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Director of AI Learning to lead our AI learning initiatives. The Associate Director AI Learning will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that improve the data and AI proficiencies across Chewy. In this role, you will drive the adoption of analytic models and AI tools across, ensuring that analytics, AI, and data science solutions are effectively integrated into decision-making processes. This role will also serve as a key liaison between the AI/data science teams and various departments, focusing on product improvement and enabling widespread technology adoption. As an ideal candidate, you will have a proven background in learning and development with AI, machine learning, and/or data science experience. Bring your experience building effective learning programs in a fast-paced evolving environment and as a strategic problem solver, you can drive innovation and foster an environment of continuous learning within the organization!


What You’ll Do:

  • Create and implement AI learning strategies and programs
  • Complete a comprehensive data, AI, and machine learning literacy strategy tailored to the diverse needs of internal customers
  • Liaise between Talent Development data science, AI, and analytics teams partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to identify learning needs, and improve product offerings and service delivery
  • Stay updated on industry trends, including emerging AI and machine learning tools, to continuously enhance training programs
  • Design and deliver training sessions and workshops focused on analytics, AI tools, machine learning applications, and data-driven decision-making processes
  • Create and/or curate instructional materials (guides, videos, e-learning modules) to support ongoing learning and AI adoption
  • Evaluate and select appropriate AI tools, platforms, and resources for learning initiatives
  • Develop and assess the efficacy of AI learning programs and make data-driven improvements
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and AI/data-driven decision making by promoting standardized methodologies, case studies, and success stories across the organization
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and consultants to deliver high-quality AI development programs
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and metrics, adjusting strategies to improve impact and adoption


What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Education, Data Science, Psychology, or a related field
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in curriculum development and instructional design, organizational development, talent management, or a similar role in a corporate environment, prioritizing experience in AI and computer science 
  • Proven experience in the development and implementation of AI learning programs
  • Solid understanding of AI and machine learning frameworks, tools, and technologies; including how they impact business processes and decision making
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools, including driving large-scale projects end-to-end, with demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams through complex and ambiguous situations and communicating practical insights that accelerate time to market
  • Proven track record in strategic problem-solving, issue identification, and the development of targeted learning solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and cultivate cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, remain self-directed through ambiguity, manage multiple projects, and drive AI adoption across teams
  • Solid attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience with AI ethics and responsible AI practices
  • Experience with LMS and/or learning platform a plus
  • Developing ILT, vILT, eLearning, and micro-learning strongly preferred
