Job Overview:
The Associate Dimension Control Tech is an entry-level position, and their work is completed with close supervision and support. They work within clearly defined standard operating procedures and scientific methods and adhere to quality guidelines. The Associate Dimension Control Tech should have basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process and appropriate licenses / training certifications.
ResponsibilitiesKey Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Assist Sr. Dimensional Control Tech in setting out primary control and establishing a suitable control network
- Perform the following surveys:
- Post-weld surveys as specified in the dimension control plan and as required by the governing specifications
- Pre-weld surveys as specified in the dimension control plan
- Survey of miscellaneous assemblies as required
- Continuous level surveys during load out and weighing
- Prepare Dimensional Control reports
- Generate an out-of-tolerance (OOT) report in the case of non-compliance and resurvey the structure after remedial action has taken place
- Monitor and update equipment calibration register
- Prepare Calibration Certificate
- Ensure that the latest drawings and calibrated equipment are used
- Use various types of survey-measuring equipment
- Understand and implementation of ITP, Codes and Specifications
- Operate Auto Cad and use calculation programs
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- Senior high school graduate, prefer 2 years Diploma in Technical Engineering or Civil Engineering
- Good knowledge of Surveying Instruments
- Computer Literate in Auto Cad and MS Office packages
