Job Description

The Associate Digital Retention Specialist builds lasting customer relationships that fuel profitable, repeatable growth for the Adventure Sports portfolio’s branded ecommerce sites. This role supports lifecycle channels, primarily email and SMS, to keep riders, athletes, and enthusiasts informed, inspired, and coming back.

By delivering timely, brand-right communications across multiple Revelyst Brands, this role helps turn first-time buyers into loyal advocates and strengthens long-term customer value.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Digital Retention and is based out of our Irvine, CA headquarters location.

As the Associate Digital Retention Specialist, you will have an opportunity to:

  • Support day-to-day execution and optimization of email and SMS customer engagement initiatives, including lifecycle and promotional campaigns, in partnership with the Senior Manager, Retention.

  • Build, QA, schedule, and deploy email and SMS campaigns in the ESP and SMS platform, ensuring accurate links, tracking, rendering, segmentation, and compliance.

  • Coordinate campaign calendars, briefs, approvals, creative and asset requests, timelines, and launch readiness across brand, creative, ecommerce, agency, and vendor partners.

  • Maintain and improve list health and data hygiene, including unsubscribes, bounces, suppression lists, segments, opt-in capture support, and compliance requirements.

  • Partner with ecommerce and site teams to align landing pages, promotions, content updates, site messaging, and end-to-end customer experiences.

  • Support SMS program rollout and ongoing management for assigned brands, including campaign setup, segmentation, scheduling, QA, core journeys, and operational automations.

  • Monitor and report weekly and monthly performance across send volume, deliverability, engagement, conversion, revenue contribution where tracked, and list growth trends.

  • Produce campaign readouts and post-mortems that explain what worked, what did not, why, and what should happen next across brands, segments, and message types.

  • Support a structured test-and-learn process by documenting hypotheses, results, insights, and recommendations for content, timing, audience, offers, cadence, and segmentation.

  • Maintain trackers, playbooks, documentation, and campaign learnings to improve repeatability, speed-to-market, and onboarding for future team members.

You have:

  • 1–2 years of experience, including internships or co-ops, supporting digital marketing or ecommerce with emphasis on email and/or SMS execution.

  • Hands-on experience building or deploying campaigns in an email service provider and/or SMS platform; academic projects or internships are acceptable.

  • Working knowledge of lifecycle and ecommerce metrics, including deliverability, opens, clicks, CTR, conversion, and revenue contribution where tracked.

  • Experience supporting consumer marketing campaigns, preferably DTC or ecommerce, including coordinating assets, timelines, approvals, and campaign launch details.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel with filters, pivot tables, basic formulas, and PowerPoint.

  • Familiarity with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and campaign measurement concepts including UTMs, naming conventions, and basic attribution.

  • High attention to detail and comfort with QA workflows, including links, offers, segmentation, tracking parameters, rendering checks, and data accuracy.

  • Ability to translate performance data into clear, action-oriented summaries, recommendations, and next steps.

  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication with a responsive, collaborative approach to cross-functional partners.

Pay Range:

Annual Salary: $67,000.00 - $72,000.00

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
