Job Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive professional to join our ETF Services team within the Operations Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end operational lifecycle of Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) in the primary market. Responsibilities include ensuring precise ETF creation and redemption processing, adhering to local regulatory requirements, and coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal applicant should possess prior ETF operations experience, strong analytical capabilities, and a collaborative approach.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support daily ETF creation/redemption processes, payment activities, and reconciliations; shift work may be required.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate business operations, ETF launches, and stakeholder onboarding, including the review and validation of ETF agreements.

  • Prepare and deliver internal training sessions, including the development of training materials and presentations.

  • Lead initiatives and ad-hoc projects aimed at enhancing process and market efficiency; coordinate with team members on test cases and conduct user acceptance testing through to implementation.

  • Work closely with technology teams and vendors to improve operational workflows and systems, promoting operational efficiency and high service standards.

  • Exhibit a strong risk management mindset; proactively identify exceptional or contingency scenarios and escalate issues to management as necessary.

  • Draft and maintain comprehensive internal operational procedures and guidelines.

  • Ensure accurate documentation of operational procedures, process flows, business requirements, and functional specifications.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accountancy, Economics, or a related discipline.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of ETF operations, depository, custodial, or settlement services in Hong Kong and/or global markets.

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably within established financial institutions with some supervisory exposure.

  • Familiarity with equities and futures products is advantageous.

  • Demonstrated proactivity, adaptability, innovation, and ability to manage multiple tasks; exceptional communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

  • Intellectual curiosity to investigate underlying causes and implications of issues.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage.

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, and Chinese word processing.

  • Experience in Macros and VBA is a plus.
