What You’ll Do- Plan, develop, and execute technical support activities for users and database infrastructure maintenance services, both remotely and on-site
- Provide guidance and support to users by registering, analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving database-related requests
- Troubleshoot database issues and support migrations, service implementations, and technology transfers
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure database reliability and performance
- Monitor database performance, capacity, and availability to proactively identify and resolve issues
- Administer and configure database management systems while adhering to security best practices
- Ensure compliance with SLA requirements related to response times, escalations, and downtime communications
- Maintain and update technical documentation to support long-term database sustainability and operational excellence
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and support teams to ensure seamless database operations
- Experience supporting and administering databases in Production, Testing, and Development environments
- Hands-on experience with:
- SQL Server (Required)
- Oracle (Required)
- Understanding of database administration fundamentals, including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance
- Experience administering backup and storage solutions
- Knowledge of database security concepts, backup and recovery processes, and performance monitoring
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic support environment
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a strong customer-service mindset
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
- Experience working with cloud environments, preferably AWS
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Shell, PowerShell, or Unix scripting
- SQL Server and/or Oracle certifications
- English and/or Spanish language skills
- Exposure to financial services or enterprise-scale environments
