You will join a high-performing, digitally savvy team working across AWS, Databricks, and PySpark to raise data quality, streamline processes, and resolve issues at speed. From day one, you will partner closely with Commercial, Medical, and Technology teams—shaping requirements, advocating user-centric design, and delivering in agile sprints.

3. Accountabilities- Data Operations Excellence: Provide operational and technical support for US data management across data quality, business process workflows, and downstream applications and tools, ensuring stable, trusted data flows.
- Incident Triage and Resolution: Troubleshoot data processing issues, handle business user queries, and conduct investigations to reduce time-to-resolution and prevent recurrence.
- Data Validation and Insight Generation: Perform validation, reconciliation, and ad-hoc analyses; translate findings into clear actions and implications for business teams.
- Customer Liaison: Act as the bridge between Commercial/Medical collaborators and IT for customer concerns and issue resolution, ensuring transparency and timely outcomes.
- Access and Platform Administration: Lead access, user roles, and updates across platforms like Sharp, upholding governance, privacy, and auditability.
- Requirements and User-Centric Design: Define detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and non-functional requirements; champion intuitive, accessible data products that meet user needs.
- Engineering Standards and Agile Delivery: Champion best in class practices, coding standards, and agile methodologies to improve quality, speed, and reliability.
- Product Roadmap and Best Practices: Contribute to the development and deployment of data products; scan industry trends, embed best in class practices, and help the team stay ahead.
- Quantitative bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required in one of the following or related fields: Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, Economics, Statistics, Applied Math, Computer Science or Data Science.
- Bridge business needs with technical solutions: Collaborate with partners to define and deliver requirements.
- Contribute to engineering standards: Champion best in class practices across the team.
- Understand cloud architecture: Maintain a broad understanding of cloud environments (preferably AWS)
- Demonstrate technical expertise: Apply strong experience in Databricks, PySpark, and the AWS suite of applications (e.g., S3, Redshift, Lambda, Glue, EMR)
- Code proficiently: Write high-quality code in programming languages such as Python
- Work in Agile: Apply proven experience in Agile development techniques and methodologies
- Apply core data concepts: Maintain a solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts
- Understanding of data governance, privacy standards, and operational best in class practices.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with demonstrated ability to develop and effectively
- Experience working in a business support or operational data management environment.
- Define and document detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and non-functional requirements for the data products.
- Advocate for a user-centric design approach, ensuring that data products are intuitive, accessible, and meet the needs of the target users.
- Present succinct, compelling reviews of independently developed analyses infused with insight and business implications/actions to be considered.
- Strategic and critical thinking with the ability to engage, build and maintain credibility with Commercial Leadership Team
- Exposure & Understanding (any 7): ELAAD, APLD, HCP Segmentation, Targeting (Call plan), Alignment, SFO Structuring & Sizing, HCP Campaign - Digital Promotion & Measurement, Xponant data (sales data - Rx data), HCP Specialty Management Data, (DDD MD), Call Activity, Fingertip/Formulary (Plan PBM lives data)
- Knowledge of AZ brand and Science
- Experience of working with multiple 3rd party providers, including information technology partners
- Strategic and critical thinking with the ability to engage, build and maintain credibility with Commercial Leadership Team
- Understanding of US BBU commercial and medical business functions
- Experience with Sharp [Internal AZ platform] administration, Power Apps development or troubleshooting.
