We are seeking an Associate Creative Media Specialist to join our Strategic Marketing function in the Cranial & Spinal Technologies (CST) operating unit. This highly collaborative role will be responsible for creating and producing multimedia content for the Cranial and Spinal Technologies business’ external channels to help drive engagement and growth across our corporate social media channels and our direct-to-customer/patient channels (email, web, and paid ads). We are looking for a marketing enthusiast with a passion for storytelling through digital. A successful candidate for this role will be a collaborative self-starter who is detail oriented and comfortable generating high-impact, innovative content in a fast-paced and regulated industry.

We are targeting candidates in Lafayette, CO; Memphis, TN or Minneapolis, MN.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Content Creation – Social Media: Create high-quality, engaging, and visually appealing content, including text, images, videos, and graphics for various digital platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).

  • Content Creation – Direct-to-Customer: Create actionable, enticing, and on-brand marketing materials to be leveraged in email marketing campaigns, webpages, and customer brochures.

  • Content Collaboration: Work with various teams and stakeholders to strategize, source, create, and gain approval for multimedia content for social media and other digital properties. Be a subject matter expert and support internal questions related to platform implementation and use.

  • Content Calendar: Support the maintenance of the U.S. Content Calendar and ensure consistent and timely delivery of content

  • Content Optimization: Stay updated with industry trends and platform updates to optimize content for maximum engagement.

  • Project Management: Manage the promotional materials approval process for content and assets; gaining content approval from product marketing, regulatory, legal, and clinical team signatures before dissemination.

Key Proficiencies:

  • Copywriting: Craft engaging and concise copy that captures the audience’s attention and conveys the message effectively. Tailor the tone and style of writing for the platform’s audience. Ability to translate skills to other short-form digital properties beyond social media, that may be included in larger integrated marketing strategies.

  • Graphic Design & Multimedia Content Creation: Create visually stunning graphics, infographics, and illustrations to complement social media posts and enhance their visual appeal. Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop and InDesign is essential.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of relevant experience in creative media design, graphic design, or content creation, or equivalent experience (OR Associate's Degree with 2+ years experience OR Baccalaureate Degree).

Nice to Have

  • Strong writing, editing, and copywriting skills

  • Basic graphic design and video editing technical skills; ability to create simple social-media quality assets

  • Working knowledge and experience of enterprise social media management platforms, Sprout Social preferred

  • Working knowledge and experience of email marketing software platforms, Eloqua and SalesForce Marketing Cloud preferred

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$52,000.00 - $78,000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

 

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
