We are hiring an Associate Continuous Improvement Engineer for our Asian foods complex in Pasadena, TX. In this role, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Asian plant operations. Our two TX-based Asian manufacturing plants produce tasty Korean food such as dumplings, wontons, eggrolls, and other snacks.
What You Will Do:
- Create centerline targets for optimal operational conditions.
- Develop control strategies to enable operations to respond to out-of-limit centerlines.
- Analyze operational data to identify and prioritize loss data.
- Lead or participate in production trials to eliminate waste or improve operational capabilities using lean tools such as a cause and effect analysis, PDCA, and improvement Kata.
- Participate in the DMS process and lead the development of a visual factory through 5S standards, performance metrics, and communication boards.
- Lead and participate in problem-solving activities with cross-functional teams.
- Support the development and validation of new capacity and processes.
- Works closely with GSC personnel to develop or enhance new processes across the GSC workstreams.
- Facilitates improvement teams or improvement events.
- Analyze processes and procedures to identify and develop opportunities to improve safety, and quality, increase capacity, and improve productivity.
- Utilize change management strategies for implementation.
- Use project management tools to define project requirements and milestones, track progress, resolve problems, communicate progress, and recommend actions.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Entry-level knowledge; we are open to hiring the right candidate fresh out of school.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and MS Project.
- Understanding of general industrial processes and control systems.
- Working knowledge of basic statistical tools.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and successfully leverage internal and external resources, along with multiple projects and assignments, deadlines and achieve objectives.
- Ability to lead cross-functional improvement teams.
What We Offer:
The base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $99,000 annually with eligibility for a 5% annual incentive bonus that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to education, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
