The Department: Marketing

The Role: Associate, Community and Events

We're looking for a high-energy, entrepreneurial Community and Events Associate to build Gemini's presence across crypto communities in Singapore. This role is suited for a self-starter with a passion for crypto or finance who takes initiative, moves quickly, and thrives on creating something new. You'll collaborate with the Marketing team to plan and run events, acting as the lead, whilst building and nurturing our community to expand Gemini's reach within the Singapore market.

Responsibilities:

• Community Building & Events
  • Plan, organise, and run regular Gemini meetups in Singapore
  • Build and manage the Gemini community in Singapore from the ground up
  • Proactively identify and engage with crypto influencers, educators, and thought leaders
  • Seek out speaking opportunities and partnership opportunities with local crypto communities, universities, and fintech groups
  • Handle all event logistics including venue booking, catering, registration, and follow-up
• Conference & Trade Show Support
  • Support planning and execution of Gemini's presence at local crypto and fintech conferences
  • Coordinate booth design, swag procurement, and distribution at events
  • Handle speaker coordination and presentation logistics
  • Manage pre-event promotion and post-event follow-up activities
• Online Community Management & Social Media Support
  • Build and moderate online communities (X, TikTok, Discord, Telegram, Reddit, local Facebook groups)
  • Provide local market input and cultural feedback to global social media team
  • Help adapt content and messaging for Singaporean audiences
  • Monitor crypto conversations and engage with community members

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in social media marketing, community management, events management, or similar roles
• Strong personal interest in cryptocurrency, blockchain, or finance
• Proven ability to independently organize and execute successful events
• Strong self-starter with demonstrated initiative and ability to work autonomously
• Creative problem-solver who comes up with novel ideas and innovative approaches
• Excellent networking skills - comfortable approaching and building relationships with anyone
• Quick learner with ability to rapidly grasp new concepts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience managing budgets and working with vendors
• High energy, enthusiasm, and genuine passion for building communities
• Singapore based, willing to work from the office at least 3 days per week

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in cryptocurrency, fintech, financial services, or technology industries (highly regarded)
• Existing connections or network within local crypto, fintech, or tech circles
• Content creation skills (writing, social media, basic design)
• Event management and meetup expertise
