Job DescriptionRole Summary
The Commercial Associate is responsible for managing supplier relationships and driving the performance of assigned categories to achieve sales, profitability, and growth targets. The role focuses on optimizing product assortment, ensuring availability, executing campaigns, conducting market studies, and maximizing commercial opportunities on the Talabat mart. The Commercial Associate works closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams, including Operations, Marketing, and Finance, to implement effective strategies, monitor performance, and identify growth opportunities.
What's On Your Plate?
- Drive sales growth and achieve category revenue and GMV targets.
- Ensure high product availability and minimize out-of-stock issues.
- Optimize product assortment to match customer demand and market trends.
- Monitor category profitability and improve margins.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and distributors.
- Negotiate commercial terms, promotions, and visibility opportunities.
- Plan, execute, and monitor campaigns and marketing activities with suppliers to drive sales and engagement.
- Conduct market studies, surveys, and analyze category and brand trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement commercial plans effectively.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to support decision-making.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- GMV (Gross Merchandise Value) growth
- Category revenue performance
- Product availability rate
- Assortment expansion and SKU growth
- Category margin and profitability
- Supplier performance and engagement
- 3–5 years of experience in FMCG, e-commerce, or commercial roles within retail/hypermarkets.
- Strong communication and supplier relationship management skills.
- Fluent in English and Arabic (both written and spoken).
- Analytical mindset with a focus on commercial results.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities.
- Experience coordinating campaigns or promotional activities is a plus.
