The Opportunity:

As an Associate/Senior Associate on our Client Solutions team, you will assist in providing support to Hamilton Lane’s clients and support business development aspects related to the management of our Australia private wealth channel prospect relationships, supporting senior salespeople based in Sydney. 

Your responsibilities will be to:

Client & Relationship Management

  • Adviser Communications: Serving as a primary point of contact for external private wealth advisors, research teams, to ensure prompt responses to client queries.

  • Material Preparation: Drafting and organising strategic meeting agendas, specific asset memos, comprehensive internal briefings ahead of key client engagements.

  • Meeting Coverage: Shadowing senior Client Solutions team members in meetings, taking detailed notes, and independently managing the follow-up process for deliverables promised to prospects or clients

Meeting Scheduling

  • Diary Management: Acting as the logistical anchor for the local team by proactively booking client/prospect meetings.

Event & Roadshow Coordination

  • Roadshow Logistics: Helping manage scheduling, travel itineraries, and presentation materials for client roadshows and on-site visits involving senior global executives or investment strategy staff.

  • Digital Engagements: Co-coordinating the operational aspects of client webinars, including managing calendar blocks, liaising with internal and external presenters, and tracking attendee engagement.

Sales & Distribution Support

  • Pipeline Management: Assisting with the tracking of capital commitments and supporting pipeline management.

  • CRM Administration: Maintaining meticulous records of all advisor interactions, updating contact hierarchies, and logging distribution targets.

  • Market Research: Monitoring private markets trends, competitor fund launches, and domestic regulatory discussions to keep the distribution team informed.

  • Collect and analyze data related to prospective client proposals and report trends and findings to senior management.  This includes but is not limited to: Activity, Sales Reporting, Pipeline Management, Pricing, Marketing, Fundraising Updates

  • Collect and analyze intel on competitors and create deliverables to the business development and product managers

Operational Coverage

  • Team Coordination: Assisting with balancing internal workloads and providing necessary operational cover.

  • Presentation Development: Helping refine pitch decks, portfolio update presentations.

  • Other sales-related projects as necessary

  • Assist the RFP team in reviewing, editing, and submitting of RFPs,

  • Leverage AI tools to streamline sales support processes, enhance efficiency, and improve the quality and timeliness of business insights.

Your background will include:
  • 3-5 years of working experience in private markets, financial industry, asset management industry, or other related industry

  • University degree (B.A., B.S. or B.B.A.)   

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).  

  • Must be detail oriented and organized and possess good analytical skills.  

  • Must be able to handle multiple assignments/initiatives.  

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) 

  • Ability to operate in a high pressure environment
