Role

SCS Financial is looking for an Associate to join the Client Operations team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a candidate who is looking to contribute to one of the firm’s core business management functions supporting our clients and advisors. The Client Operations team is responsible for client portfolio recordkeeping, performance, and reporting as well as data governance and oversight of related technologies, and third-party service providers. The role will assist in a variety of functions necessary to support the business, including security and client setup and data intake, report creation and maintenance, as well as operational support related to advisor / client inquiries. This role will work cross-functionally to enhance our current workflows and systems to support a constantly growing client-base and complexity.

We are seeking candidates who are well organized, energetic, and team-oriented. The right candidate is a self-starter with a strong work ethic who has excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and an eye towards leveraging technology to improve process. This person must be willing to provide the highest level of client service, professionalism, and confidentiality. Furthermore, this person must be able to efficiently prioritize tasks and consistently meet deadlines.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support real time maintenance our clients’ performance book of record including cash reconciliation, data management, performance reporting
  • Collaborate with Advisors on day-to-day inquiries and requests such as client onboarding, account maintenance, and reporting
  • Work closely with other middle office teams to ensure client portfolio information is accurate and updated on a regular and timely basis.
  • Support alternative asset data universe, ensuring the timely and efficient processing of LP level data through a variety of workflows
  • Participate in initiatives designed to improve overall client experience, internal workflows, or data movement around the Firm.
  • Complete additional ad hoc assignments in a timely, accurate and well-communicated manner

Qualifications

  • 1 - 3 years’ experience in performance analytics, data quality, or fund operations. Internship experience will also be considered.
  • Experience in wealth management, RIA or family office is preferred
  • Experience with financial services technology – investment accounting platforms, client relationship management (CRM) tools and client reporting software is a plus
  • Experience with alternative investments is preferred
  • Analytically inclined, demonstrating intellectual curiosity, high integrity, and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong organization and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Pro-active and solutions-oriented with an ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Bachelor’s degree and a demonstrated track record of academic success
