Responsibilities and Requirements
- Partner with established phara/med/healthcare clients to deliver robust communications strategies and programmes in support of their business objectives.
- Act as a trusted partner to promote, protect and evolve their brands through proactivley identifying opportunities or effectivley managing risk.
- Lead your client relationships; managing day to day contacts and reguarly interface with client contacts
- Oversee and nurture bold, transformative work while counselling clients to help them achieve their communication and business objectives.
- Contribute to the development of the Health team by sharing market/industry updates, best practice and continuous L&D for a thriving performance driven culture.
- Thoroughly understand Edelman’s various consulting processes/approaches, crafts, products and global capabilities, identifying opportunities to furher expand our client engagements.
- Demonstrate the value of these offerings to clients, and lead in their planning and execution.
- Contribute to the winning of new client business and organic opportunities within your existing client base.
- Contribute towards accurate forecasting and active commercial management of your accounts.
- Uphold the Edelman values and behaviours in all aspects of your work and conduct.
Experience and Expectations
- At least 8+ years of relevant experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields, including research, management consulting, media or publishing
- Curious communicator with a genuine strong interest in science and health.
- Experience in pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry
- General awareness of the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA) and Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS), universal healthcare system would be welcomed.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university.
- Ability to manage large projects, as well as teams, on multiple sizable accounts.
- Understands clients’ businesses and their missions, as well as their key stakeholders: consumers, employees, regulators, media, third party and advocacy groups.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills – active listening and ability to ‘read the room’ with clients and colleagues
- Confidence in presenting / selling in ideas, stories or solutions Problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify right internal stakeholders for any escalation required
