Job Description:
This is a hybrid position based out of Orlando-Florida. Qualified applicants must reside within driving distance to our Orlando offices.
Summary:
This position supports the creation and maintenance of software applications under close supervision. This is an entry-level position for individuals with the aptitude, educational background, or related work experience to begin a career in application development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in research and fact-finding to develop, modify, or enhance applications and information systems.
- Assist in preparing detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, and maintain programs.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Typically has 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related fields; or equivalent work experience.
- Technical Skills: .NET, C#, Git, Azure DevOps (ADO), Windows Form, Visual Studios, Angular & Kendo (preferred), SQL Server and relational databases, XML, HTML, JSP, web services (WCF, ASMX, and REST)
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- At a minimum, the ability to work from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Consistent attendance is required.
- Ability to accept supervision.
- Ability to foster, develop and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships. Must be able to get along with others (i.e., peers, supervisors, outside customers, and vendors).
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, employees and customers by email, phone, video conferences and in person.
- Must be a personable, positive, and professional representative of the company.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
Physical/Mental Demands:
- The ability to work with confidential information.
- The ability to perform under pressure and be flexible with disruptions throughout the workday.
- Repetitive and continual keyboard activity and interaction with display monitors is required.
- Local/daily travel by automobile and overnight business travel by air and/or automobile may be required.
Sedentary work: The majority of activity in this position involves sedentary work including sitting, standing, twisting, walking and the occasional need to lift or move objects.
