ROLE SUMMARY
Our Global Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team provides comprehensive blueprints for cybersecurity excellence by embedding governance, risk management, and compliance into every layer. The team is responsible for ensuring risk-based decision-making is used and that security, privacy, and regulatory compliance is integrated seamlessly with Pfizer's organization.
We are seeking a motivated Associate, Business Technology Quality Assurance (BTQA) to support the organization's governance, risk, and compliance activities within a regulated environment. This role assists with the execution of quality assurance tasks across business technology processes and systems, helping to maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to compliance, quality, and regulatory requirements. The Associate works closely with cross‑functional partners to support reviews, gather information, and contribute to the overall effectiveness of BTQA and GRC initiatives while developing foundational skills in technology quality and compliance.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the execution of quality assurance activities across business technology systems, processes, and documentation.
  • Assist in reviewing technology processes to confirm alignment with internal quality standards, policies, and regulatory expectations.
  • Help maintain accurate BTQA documentation, including SOPs, workflows, process narratives, quality records, and evidence repositories.
  • Contribute to audit preparation activities by gathering information, organizing evidence, and supporting walkthrough coordination.
  • Assist with tracking quality issues, control gaps, and remediation tasks, ensuring updates are logged and clearly documented.
  • Participate in reviews of system changes, enhancements, and releases to verify compliance with quality and GRC requirements.
  • Support monitoring activities by collecting data, updating logs, and escalating potential risks or deviations to senior team members.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams by helping gather inputs, share information, and ensure consistent communication.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of BTQA procedures, templates, and processes.
  • Participate in training and self‑development activities to build a strong foundational understanding of technology quality, compliance, and GRC concepts.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, quality management, life sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience in technology quality assurance, IT compliance, GRC, system support, or a related discipline (internships or co‑ops acceptable).
  • Foundational understanding of IT processes, system lifecycle concepts, and basic quality or compliance principles (e.g., documentation practices, change control, incident tracking).
  • Interest in learning regulatory and industry frameworks such as GxP, CSV (Computer System Validation), ISO standards, or IT governance frameworks (training will be provided).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and follow structured processes.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and cross‑functional partners.
  • Proficiency with standard productivity tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in an agile work environment possessing qualities such as a collaborative mindset, adaptability to change, and a proactive problem-solving approach.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Familiarity with GxP, CSV, or other regulated system requirements.
  • Exposure to IT or quality frameworks such as ISO standards or COBIT.
  • Ability to create simple reports or summaries using Excel or similar tools. Interest in developing skills in technology quality, compliance, and risk management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
  • Travel as required by the business (less than 20% domestic and/or international)
  • Work Location Assignment: Must be able to work in assigned Pfizer office 2-3 days per week, or as needed by the business
