As an Associate Business Manager, you'll play a crucial role in driving the profitability of a specific category within our diverse range of products—be it bacon, ham, fresh pork, or other categories. You will work collaboratively with our sales team and supply operations to deliver top-quality products to our customers and consumers.
In this dynamic position, you will take charge of the day-to-day execution of the annual business plan, including managing the profit/loss for an assigned product group or brand. Acting as a key liaison between operations, sales, and marketing functions, you will lead forecasting efforts with demand and supply planning teams for your respective product group or channel. You'll be involved in all activities related to trade and business management to help drive top-line sales growth for assigned channels.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Financial Management: You will be responsible for managing the P&L for a product category, ensuring financial goals are met by monitoring and controlling sales, costs, and profitability. You will track and analyze key financial metrics, including gross margin, expenses, and trade spending, to drive category performance.
Pricing and Trade Management: You will be responsible for developing and maintaining documentation that defines retail pricing and promotional parameters for all product groups. You will assist the Business Management team in monitoring the marketplace for pricing opportunities and participate in account sales calls as needed. Additionally, you will support the management of trade spending targets, day-to-day P&L and volume plans for assigned channels and brands, and assist with monthly trade spend forecasting for SKUs. You will collaborate with Finance to ensure trade spending forecasts are accurate.
Project Management: You will assist Business Managers in planning, executing, and tracking projects, ensuring timelines are met and resources are effectively allocated. You will monitor progress, identify risks, and provide updates to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with business objectives.
Collaboration: You will collaborate with Marketing and R&D on the development and execution of new products, cost savings initiatives, and new business opportunities. You will participate in cross-functional meetings, ensuring representation of business and sales. Additionally, you will assist the Business Management team by working with Demand & Supply Planning to ensure accurate forecasting and deployment of products so Customer Service Levels are met.

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
Experience acting as a lead by providing training, coaching or mentoring to less experienced staff or through managing a process or project.
Strong quantitative reasoning and ability to analyze data to drive informed decision-making.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
High level of written and verbal communication skills, organizational planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning, and adaptability.
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Energized by travel up to 30% of the time.
Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
OTHER SKILLS THAT MAKE YOU STAND OUT:
Knowledge of the dynamics of the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry, preferred.
Knowledge of customer focused and fact-based selling, which may include Circana, Neilsen and Perishable Group data, preferred.
SAP experience, preferred.
