The Associate Business Intelligence Developer will work collaboratively with both business and technical teams to convert data into meaningful insights. Utilizing Power BI or other Power Platform tools, they will develop innovative solutions for data visualization and automation, thereby enhancing data-driven decision-making for users. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with Users and Teams: Partner with users, product owners, and data engineers to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions, including dashboards and interactive reporting tools on key business measures. 
  • Translate Business Needs: Work directly with business stakeholders to translate their data needs into technical requirements, design, and implementation through data visualization. 
  • Utilize UI/UX Best Practices: Apply UI/UX best practices to create visualizations that provide a single, aligned version of the truth, clearly present business results, and prompt action. 
  • Flexibility on Handling Projects: Flexible on working with low to high complex projects with a possibility on utilizing multiple tools or technology for each solutions. 
  • Manage User Access and Troubleshooting: Provide and maintain user access, report connections, and troubleshoot issues by navigating management consoles or workspaces. 

Qualifications: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or any relevant field related to Business Intelligence. 
  • Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on development experience in developing BI solutions, preferably with Power BI. (Experience with Qlik technology is a plus.) 

Minimum Skills to Hire/Must Haves:  

  • Ability to interpret data effectively and provide suggestions and decision-making based on factual analysis. 
  • Knowledgeable on ETL process and have exposure with variety of data sources (e.g., data sets, data flow, MS SQL, Azure Data Lake, EDL) 
  • Understand the end-to-end process of dashboard development, including all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). 
  • A fundamental understanding of project management is preferred 
  • Experienced in data storytelling and visualization, with the ability to turn complex data into clear and engaging stories and visuals. 
  • Proficient on using different Microsoft O365 Tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Familiar with Power Platform tools (e.g., MS excel, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Query, Power BI workspaces). 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism at all times. 

Soft skills:

  • Manifest finesse with customer management and project administration.
  • Outstanding communication skills for both written and verbal.
  • · Ability to allocate time efficiently, handle multiple demands and competing priorities.
  • Planning and organization skills, including the ability to prepare schedules and communicate status of overall development effort.
  • Ability to always work independently and act professionally.
  • Adaptable to teamwork and dynamic work environment.
