Associate Business Development Manager - Singapore


As a global leader in commercial payments that powers international business by moving money with ease, Convera is seeking an Associate Business Development Manager to drive sales of FX payments products and hedging solutions within our Singapore office, supporting sales across the market.
We are looking for tenacious, motivated individuals with a competitive mindset to build a pipeline of Small-to-Medium-Sized Enterprises (SME) and achieve new business revenue by addressing their international payments and hedging needs.


You will be expected to:


  • Build a qualified pipeline by attracting new clients through strategic outreach
  • Achieve and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including revenue targets on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Proactively source new business opportunities via cold calls, networking events, referrals, exhibitions, and partnerships.
  • Qualify assigned inbound leads and identify win-back opportunities from closed or inactive accounts.
  • Use sales tools such as Salesforce, Highspot, and ZoomInfo to generate leads and create new sales opportunities through email campaigns, cold calls, and other outreach methods.
  • Manage the full sales cycle up to client onboarding, before transitioning accounts to the Portfolio Sales Management team.
  • Introduce clients to relevant support functions, including the Portfolio Sales Management team, to ensure a smooth handover.
  • Engage and influence decision-makers ranging from start-up founders to directors and C-suite executives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date Salesforce records, including sales diaries and next steps for prospects.
  • This is a hybrid role, with work split between remote (WFH) and our modern office located on Robinson Road, Singapore.
    What We Are Looking For:

  • 2+ years of experience in the financial services sector in a (proactive) sales role
  • Preferred - Experience in FX (e.g., understanding of financial markets and instruments such as Spot, Forwards, and Derivatives) or payments (e.g., knowledge of the payments and technology landscape).
  • Proven B2B sales experience, ideally within financial services or fintech.
  • Demonstrated success in consultative selling, corporate negotiations, and customer acquisition through channels such as networking events, trade fairs, and cold calling.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding KPIs and revenue targets.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written), as all internal communication is conducted in English.
  • You MUST be either a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident to be considered for this role
