Job Responsibilities :The Associate Business Development Manager is responsible for supporting and driving business growth through active lead generation, client outreach, and account management. Working closely with the Head of Department (HOD), this role focuses on executing growth strategies, securing new merchant/partner accounts, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. The Associate BDM plays a key execution role in expanding our market footprint, supporting proposal development, and coordinating internally to deliver seamless payment and digital solutions.Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy Execution & Market Research
- Assist the HOD in executing business development strategies aligned with company growth targets.
- Conduct market research to identify potential leads, emerging industry trends, and competitor activities.
- Support the identification of new business channels, merchant categories, and strategic opportunities.
2. Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Proactively research, cold-call, and engage prospective clients to build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Qualify incoming leads and schedule pitch meetings.
- Prepare and present standard sales pitches and tailored proposals to potential clients.
3. Client Relationship Management & Account Support
- Serve as an operational and tactical contact for assigned mid & top-tier or emerging accounts, ensuring prompt handling of daily inquiries.
- Nurture existing client relationships to drive account activity, usage volume, and retention.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities (e.g., additional payment channels, new product features) to maximize account value.
4. Proposal Preparation & Deal Closing
- Draft business proposals, and term sheets tailored to client requirements under the guidance of senior BD leaders.
- Drive commercial negotiations and contract documentation processes.
- Track sales pipelines and ensure timely follow-ups to close deals and hit individual targets.
5. Cross-Functional Operations & Coordination
- Work closely with Tech, Operations, Finance, and Support teams to facilitate merchant onboarding, terminal deployments, and issue resolution.
- Act as an operational bridge between clients and internal stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and swift execution.
6. Administrative & Process Support
- Maintain clean and accurate records of lead activities, meeting logs, and deal pipelines in the system.
- Assist in identifying operational bottlenecks in the merchant onboarding or sales journey and suggest process improvements.
7. Reporting & Monitoring
- Prepare regular activity reports, lead tracking updates, and pipeline progress for review by the HOD and senior management.
- Monitor key account performance metrics (TPV, transaction activity) to identify underperforming accounts for re-engagement.
