Position OverviewThe Associate Analyst supports the IT Budget Team and IT department on work in asset management, budgeting/spend analysis, and KPI and SLA Reporting. The key responsibilities of this role will involve data maintenance and development of multifaceted reports including but not limited to asset inventories, helpdesk analysis, budgets vs. actuals, database extracts, and the creation of reports using various tools to analyze a given business situation. The Associate Analyst will also be responsible for providing the IT department with support and supervision from a budgetary, project, and KPI perspective to advise project managers on ways to consistently stay within budget.
Job Description
- Maintain accurate inventory of all software and hardware maintenance contracts, assets, and applications & educate IT department on Asset Management policies and procedures.
- Process, document, and monitor timely vendor payment, PO requisitions, approvals and troubleshoot any payment issues & educate IS department on PO policies and procedures.
- Partner closely with Financial Planning & Analysis department and Financial Accounting to troubleshoot and ensure accuracy & regular reporting on the IT P&L and projects
- Assist in maintaining the project register and reporting on IT projects
- Assist the IT Budget Team in overseeing and monitoring IT budget – create budgets/forecasts, report out on weekly P&L, and explain any variances with an emphasis on hardware, software, and professional services
- Manage data from the time recording system for analysis, reporting and dash boarding.
- Handle tasks relating to contractors: Statements of Work (S0W), receiving, client letter requests, etc.
- Assist Sr Budget Analyst in departmental financial and KPI reporting to ensure reports are issued in a timely and accurate manner
- Help the IT Budget Team and other top managers analyze and understand spending versus budgets.
- Act as gatekeeper in the IT Capex process to ensure all supporting documentation and analyses are completed and submitted in a timely and orderly fashion.

Skills
- Specialized Knowledge : MS Office, proficient with MS Excel. Proficient with Google Suite of Products. Experience in preparing, tracking and monitoring budgets, budget proposals, budget forecasting and project funding requests preferred. Tableau, SQL, reporting skills a plus.
- Special Skills : Professional verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Problem solving. Ability to identify discrepancies between IT Software/Hardware contracts and vendor invoices.

- 0-2 : Minimum 1 year experience in accounting/finance preferred
