About the Role

We are looking for an Automation Specialist to join our Intelligent Document Processing team. This role focuses on developing, optimizing, and maintaining document parsing templates - particularly using platforms like ABBYY FlexiCapture and Kodexa AI - to automate the extraction of utility bill data.
Key Responsibilities
This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role that blends technical precision with critical thinking.
- Design and maintain AI based data extraction templates.
- Analyze and understand diverse bill formats to ensure reliable and scalable automation.
- Collaborate with product and operations teams to resolve data issues and optimize output.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to planning, QA, and delivery.
- Apply strong logic skills to troubleshoot automation flows and identify improvements.
- Develop an understanding of utility billing patterns, vendor nuances, and industry data formats.
- Leverage modern AI tools (including large language models) to accelerate development, enrich data interpretation, and improve automation workflows.
- Craft and refine prompts to guide AI outputs - particularly when working within AI-assisted platforms like Kodexa or other document intelligence tools.

- Experience with ABBYY FlexiCapture/FlexiLayout, Kodexa, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with document modeling, regular expressions (Regex), or data validation logic.
- Exposure to XML, JSON, Javascript, Python, prompt engineering, or generative AI tools.
- Background in utility billing, document processing, or enterprise automation is a plus.
