The Role

About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated and proactive Subrogation Attorney to join our Operations team. In this role, you are representing our client’s financial interests, negotiating with attorneys and insurance carriers, interpreting complex medical and financial records, and guiding cases from intake through resolution.

You will manage an assigned portfolio of matters and work closely with legal assistants to drive legal strategy, case positioning, handle escalations, ensure professional representation throughout the case and deliver accurate and timely recoveries for our clients. This role is ideal for an attorney who’s a self-starter, persuasive, enjoys negotiation, analytical work, and operating in a fast-paced environment where outcomes are measurable and meaningful.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee a large portfolio of subrogation and lien reimbursement cases
  • Combat legal arguments from plaintiff attorneys seeking to limit our client’s recovery rights
  • Negotiate settlements and advocate for accurate financial outcomes on behalf of our clients
  • Partner with reimbursement senior paralegal/legal assistants to analyze medical and financial documentation
  • Communicate with plaintiff attorneys, insurance adjusters, and other parties to obtain information and move cases forward
  • Provide clear guidance on case strategy and next steps to internal team members
  • Build strong communication and trust with external parties on each case

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice in at least one state
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and prioritize effectively
  • Comfort interpreting medical records and financial documents (training provided)
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to work independently when needed
  • Interest in continuous improvement and process-driven work
