Associate Attorney (LABS) 

Erickson Immigration Group has a career opportunity for an experienced Associate Attorney (LABS) to join our expanding team in a fully remote capacity.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage a high-volume caseload of U.S. employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant matters, including but not limited to H-1B, L-1, O-1, EB-1A, EB-1B, EB-1C, NIW, PERM, and related dependent filings.
  • Draft, prepare, review, and finalize intricate, writing-intensive immigration petitions and supporting legal arguments, including O-1, L-1, EB-1A, EB-1B, and EB-1C petitions, ensuring persuasive presentation of facts, evidence, and legal analysis.
  • Prepare sophisticated Responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs), Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs), and other government inquiries, including conducting legal research, developing strategic arguments, and compiling supporting documentation.
  • Assess and evaluate clients' eligibility for employment-based immigration benefits and develop customized case strategies to support successful petition outcomes.
  • Explain nuanced immigration laws, regulations, and procedural requirements to clients and provide strategic guidance on immigration options and risks.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support client matters, case strategy, and emerging immigration issues.
  • Effectively manage client relationships and supervise a team of paralegals supporting high-volume corporate immigration matters.
  • Support clients in immigration program management, compliance, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Utilize web-based immigration case management systems and databases accurately and consistently to manage case progress and maintain data integrity.

Qualification Requirements:

  • 3+ years of business immigration attorney work experience
  • U.S. Juris Doctor degree (J.D.)
  • Member of a state bar and in good standing with the associated state bar association
  • Ability to manage complex case strategies with company contacts and clients
  • Understanding of nuanced and complex immigration law concepts
  • Ability to review Paralegal work product carefully and promptly
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills, as appropriate for the needs of the audience (clients, governmental agencies, internal and external resources)
  • Logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, and approaches to problems
  • Strong organizational & time management skills, with the ability to prioritize
  • Ability to generate work product with considerable accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service 
  • Outstanding case/project management skills
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Accepts and adapts to feedback regarding work performance 
  • Fluency of the English language in both written and verbal forms
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; and Case Management Systems – Salesforce (Litify), VisaTrax/INS Zoom and/or other Document Management Systems.

Skills Required
