GENERAL OBJECTIVES:            

  • Build, maintain, and advance relationships with DBU Patriot alumni for the purpose of alumni engagement, fundraising, and student-athlete success.
  • Oversee and administer sport-specific alumni relations initiatives and events.
  • Direct and manage corporate sponsorship opportunities and relationships.
  • Oversee and grow Annual Giving through DBU Athletics platforms.
  • Represent the interests and spirit of DBU Athletics to alumni and other external constituents.

  • Thorough knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
  • Previous fundraising or annual fund management in an NCAA Division I setting preferred.
  • Ability to communicate and interact easily with a variety of constituents
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours and travel, possibly overnight.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for ensuring and maintaining relationships with Athletics alumni where responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining and cultivating database oversight for all athletics alumni, creating and implementing strategy and execution of donor relation and fundraising plans as directed, and providing necessary information and communication with the Director of Athletics and other necessary constituents as it pertains to fundraising and relational campaigns involving DBU Athletics alumni. 
  • Oversight of DBU Athletics’ Alumni Relations including proper management, efficient internal communication, and appropriate external communication with oversight of goals and forecasting for future growth.
  • Build strategic partnerships with key alumni for the purpose of job placement opportunities for current DBU students.
  • Create, ascertain, and fulfill corporate sponsorship opportunities across multiple venues and sports.
  • Administer all aspects of Annual Giving to DBU Athletics through the Patriot Athletic Fund and the DBU Baseball Dugout Club.
  • Lead the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of DBU’s annual Giving Day, driving participation, donor engagement, and philanthropic impact across the department.
  • Hit on key deliverables regarding Annual Giving, Alumni relations, and corporate sponsorships as set by the DBU Director of Athletics.
  • Maintain an understanding of all NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations.
  • Develop specific procedures and guide the implementation of these to ensure University compliance. 
  • Establish and maintain outstanding relationships with campus constituents to cultivate a culture of institutional control. 

WORK SCHEDULE:         

This is a full-time position with regular office hours between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Weekends and nights are also required. Occasional travel may be required.

 

WORK LOCATION:

This position will work on the main campus, located at 3000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211


Preferred Qualifications
  • Must be a Christian and a member of a church that holds to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing in the New and Old Testaments of the Holy Bible.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
