Job Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is currently seeking an Associate Artificial Intelligence Engineer to join our team in LaVergne, TN (Greater Nashville area). This person under direct supervision, translates technical specifications, Machine Learning, AI, and Data Engineering requirements into python code that can be executed in various environments. Develops skills to deploy full software development life cycle, client server applications, APIs, Python code, and associated documentation. This position will be hybrid and work from the Ingram headquarters 3 days per week.

The ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; computer science, computer engineering, electrical and electronics engineering with computer engineering concentration, software engineering, other engineering with data science, machine learning, and AI concentration

We have a preference for:

  • Basic knowledge of application programming best practices, solid coding skills in Python, Python libraries, Github principles and working knowledge of Git, virtual environments, and containerization.
  • Analytical skills and problem solving skills

The Associate AI Engineer key responsibilities are:

Essential Duties

  • Under direct supervision, develops and modifies internal and external facing software applications having machine learning, AI, and data engineering features, modules, and interfaces.
  • Communicates effectively with internal users as needed to assist the AI applications team with full application development life cycle support including specifications, prototypes, development, quality assurance and deployment.
  • Works within specifications provided to identify and enforce design patterns, standards, libraries, open source models, etc.
  • Learns and maintains up-to-date knowledge of new technologies and development techniques.
  • Develops the skills to maintain integrity of program logic, architecture, design diagrams, design decisions, and coding.
  • Coordinates with Applications team, users and product owners to gather requirements.

 

Hiring Salary Range: $83,000 - $105,000k. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to:  the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
