As an Associate Applications Engineer at Zebra, you will join a dynamic team that architects and enhances application engineering solutions for our global partners. Your mission will be to assist in the system integration of machine vision and imaging solutions, delivering high-performance, validated systems that exceed customer expectations. Guided by senior engineers, you will play a vital role in solving complex technical challenges and directly contribute to our collective success.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Serve as a key technical resource, addressing challenges related to the performance of Zebra's products and solutions in specific application scenarios.

  • Develop and conduct Solution Demonstrations and build Proof of Concepts (POCs), representing Zebra's technology professionally at internal and external events.

  • Contribute to technical Training and Development materials and assist with delivering solution documentation for our teams and partners.

  • Analyze Customer Requirements to ensure our strategic projects are executed effectively.

  • Utilize existing imaging toolsets—or refine them—to solve novel and increasingly complex imaging problems.

  • Collaborate closely with senior Application Engineers, sales, engineering, and product management teams to identify and execute effective resolutions.

  • Engage in software design, hardware analysis, and integration work with guidance from senior colleagues.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Vocational Studies in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • 2+ years of experience (working with fixed industrial scanning and/or machine vision solutions.

  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)

  • Knowledge of basic machine vision, image processing, and electrical engineering concepts (e.g., schematics, wiring, multimeters).

  • Knowledge of coding languages such as C/C++/C# or Python in a Windows and Linux environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Vision Software.

  • Familiarity with PLC Programming.

  • Experience in designing System Solutions.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing and/or logistics processes and environments.

  • Certified Vision Professional – Basic certification is a plus.

Skills Required
