Join Shipco IT as an Associate – Application Developer

As an Application Developer, you’ll help build and enhance applications that power these operations, combining strong technical skills, analytical thinking, and creativity to deliver high-quality software used across multiple regions.

What You'll Do…
  • Build and Enhance Business-Critical Applications: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance scalable Angular web applications.
  • Collaborate with a Dynamic Team: Work closely with cross-functional experts to deliver innovative solutions and expand your technical expertise.
  • Contribute Across the Software Lifecycle: Engage in planning, development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of applications.
  • Analyze and Design Solutions: Evaluate requirements, identify challenges, and
    deliver scalable, well-documented system solutions.
  • Stay Current with Technologies: Explore the latest tools, frameworks, and industry
    trends to keep solutions innovative and efficient.
  • Ensure Code Quality, Performance, and Reliability: Drive testing, optimization,
    and code reviews to uphold high standards, enforce coding best practices, and
    continuously improve application stability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and Optimize Production Systems: Proactively identify, debug, and
    resolve technical issues and performance bottlenecks to ensure stable, reliable
    operation of business-critical applications.

What You’ll Need…
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, supported by relevant certifications in Angular 8+ and experience
    working in Agile or Scrum environments.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining applications using the Angular Framework including proven success in migrating and modernizing legacy Angular applications with Industry best practices to modern, standalone component architectures and Signal-based state management to improve performance.
  • Advanced proficiency in HTML, Modern CSS, SCSS, and Tailwind CSS to build responsive, accessible interfaces using CoreUI or Angular Material and UI/UX best
    practices
  • Deep understanding of TypeScript and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and
    Commitment to code reliability using Jest, Jasmine, or Karma.
  • Peer Code Reviews and enforce strict linting and formatting standards (Prettier/ESLint)
  • Proficiency with AWS, Git, and CI/CD automation via GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with Express JS or Loopback and other backend technologies like
    relational databases is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot
    effectively, and apply coding standards and best practices while working closely with
    cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, strong attention to
    detail, adaptability to changing requirements, and well-developed organizational and
    time-management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
