About the Mastercard Launch Program
The Mastercard Launch Program is designed for early-career talent, offering an 18-month immersive experience to develop skills, gain cross-functional exposure, and work on impactful projects. Participants will be assigned to a business unit, receive hands-on mentorship, and grow through meaningful contributions.
Overview
The APEMEA (Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, and Africa) team is responsible for customer-facing activities across these regions, driving business strategy, sales, business development, and product management. Our goal is to execute business strategies effectively while expanding and diversifying our product offerings to better serve our customers.
Our Business Development & Account Management Teams focus on attracting new clients and managing ongoing customer relationships. As the frontline of customer engagement, the team provides strategic insights and collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction. By maintaining strong relationships and understanding customer needs, the team helps drive Mastercard's growth and market presence.
In this role, you will:• Influence account strategies using analytical problem solving and leveraging data tools to provide market data and customer specific recommendations. • Understand our and the customers' strategic agenda, operational set up and capabilities, and identify opportunities to deliver against these objectives. • Provide support to communicate innovations, technology and Mastercard product to customers. • Work directly with the customer on all day-to-day issues and build strong relationshops at all levels, ensuring they receive the highest standard of service. This will include dealing with escalations, providing management reporting, preparing presentations for senior leadership etc. • Develop strong internal relationships and partner with multiple internal functions, including Account Management, Product, Digital, Finance, Marketing, Customer Delivery and Gateway teams. • Undertake analysis, research, and business planning, reporting trends and competitor intelligence to stakeholders. • Manage tracking of contractual agreements and deliverables as required.

Qualifications:• Undergraduate or Master's degree (graduating between July 2026 - Feb 2027)• Able to start work on 1 Feb 2027 (Start Dates are fixed)• Strong academic track record.• Proven Demonstrated leadership potential experience (work, extracurricular, or community).• Ability to communicate complex ideas - both verbally and in writing - clearly in English.• Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills • Must have full working rights in New Zealand (Citizen / PRs).

  • Ability to work with data tools and perform analysis to inform account strategies
  • Full working rights in New Zealand (Citizen / PR)
