The Financial Accounting FLE is responsible for ensuring the Bank adopts sound accounting principles and standards that support the Bank to perform its financial reporting mandate effectively. The role is also responsible to ensure correct and reliable accounting data that aligns with the Bank’s accounting policy being submitted to the financial management system to ensure good and credible preparation of statutory and financial management reporting.
ResponsibilitiesPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Financial Accounting
Ensure the application of relevant accounting principles to support the preparation of the Bank’s and its affiliated entities’ financial statements to fulfill its statutory requirements. This includes recommendations on accounting recognition and measurement on financial products in meeting the Bank’s reserves management objectives. - Internal Controls
Perform data verification and provide solution of anomalies in financial data and take corrective actions to ensure accurate financial reporting. - System Management
Management of accounting system functionalities to ensure efficient generation of accounting results to all users and support the Bank’s business requirements on new initiatives. - Financial Analysis
Perform comprehensive data analysis to identify trends, variances and potential areas of concern to assist management in making informed decisions. - Research and Compliance
Actively conduct research on existing accounting treatment and financial reporting policies of the Bank, keeping up to date on the latest development on financial reporting relating to central bank practices and Malaysian Accounting Standard Board to highlight areas for enhancements or adoption to new standards.
Academic Qualifications: A recognised degree in accounting and/or professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, MICPA, ICAEW).
Experience:
- Experience in financial reporting, analysis and forecasting would be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge in Microsoft Office applications; and proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

- Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, MICPA, or ICAEW
