About the roleYou will help implement Affordability "Playbooks," tools that will be used to manage large areas of trend and spend, beginning with High Cost Members.
You will report into the Director, Affordability.
Work Location: This position is based in our New York City office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings and events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule. #LI-Hybrid
Pay Transparency:
The base pay for this role is: $98,400 - $129,150 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities- Build and maintain strong networks with key contacts beyond immediate areas of expertise.
- Drive team accountability for delivering tactical business targets.
- Develop and implement workflows that support affordability initiatives.
- Execute critical tasks to operationalize playbooks.
- Continuously evaluate current processes and recommend improvements to policies, operations, and procedures.
- Design and implement three-year strategies to influence trends and spending.
- Collaborate with pods to translate playbooks into actionable initiatives and workflows.
- Partner with MCA and Data Science to monitor and advance key initiatives.
- Analyze complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, and introduce innovative solutions.
- Identify and address workflow gaps across business units, including Claims, Payment Integrity, Clinical Programs, and Network Strategy.
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare (insurance, health systems, or consulting)
- 3+ years of experience in case management or leading clinical interventions
- Skilled in using data to monitor and evaluate program or campaign outcomes
- Basic understanding of medical economics and insurance risk pooling principles
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, evolving environments
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements in programs
- Experience / background in a fast-paced operations environment
- Clinical background (nursing or other healthcare) to support review and analysis of complex healthcare journeys

Pay Transparency: Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
