Efficiently perform credit & collection activities to Emerson's customers by adhering to collections roadmap, regularly reviewing open/active accounts for collection efforts and preparing and communicating monthly Statement of Accounts to all assigned customers in a timely manner.
Identify, validate, and log customer disputes to initiate resolution and escalation. Perform initial investigation and communicate findings with the proper owners/resolvers. Monitor and ensure immediate resolution of disputes. Utilize reports to follow up on disputes.
Adhere to support workflow to achieve/exceed identified metric goals such as past due reduction, cash collection and dispute management.
Assist or Perform cash application by reviewing received payments and customer remittance advices related to assigned accounts and providing accurate invoice details and supporting documents for proper payment allocation. Monitor advance payments and coordinate with the business units to ensure that invoices are raised immediately.
Allocate payments against invoices. This includes all payment types - wire, credit card, ACH, etc.
Escalates delinquent customers to team leader, supervisor and division POC for credit-hold, credit limit decrease, etc.
Responds to customer’s requests and emails
Maintains and administers customer account database through system tool. Ensure required information is entered into central database pertaining to customer issues or requests
Review prepayments and unapplied payments
Research shortages, overage or other discrepancies and process credit memos and debit memos
