OVERVIEW:

Skillsoft is seeking an Account Manager for Small & Medium Businesses (SMB) to be responsible for proactively managing and expanding existing private sector accounts and generating new acquisition accounts though our extensive Technology & Developer (T&D) portfolio primarily focused on Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) complimented by our digital self-paced eLearning portfolio including our Percipio Learning Experience Platform (LXP) and its associated T&D Codecademy solution to deliver blended learning solutions. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage a customer base of existing customers  that have up to 2.500 employees. 

OPPORTUNITY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive top-line revenue growth through expansion into your existing customer base and acquisition of new customers across our comprehensive portfolio of T&D solutions across your territory
  • Sell our vast T&D solutions line directly to SMB L&D, HR and lT Departments
  • Work alongside the entire SMB and Enterprise private sector sales team
  • Own responsibility to meet and exceed revenue & sales goals
  • Represent a solution line with key competitive differentiators
  • Responsible for influencing customers and prospects across L&D, HR and lT departments across all seniority levels of stakeholders.
  • Establish strategic plans and objectives to drive desired business growth and outcomes
  • Partner with other Account Executives, SME's and various other pre and post sales support resources in the successful advancement of critical
    opportunities and customer penetration.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Global Knowledge Skillsoft's sales plays related to Digital and Business transformation

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • 3+ years successful sales experience in lT sales in a growth, acquisition or hybrid capacity with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education/experience 
  • Successfully delivered against annual targets / KPI's.
  • Experience selling directly into lT Departments is required (L&D / HR would also be advantageous)
  • A keen understanding of the steps involved in sales cycles and ability to
    leverage each stage to advance the sale
  • Ability to prospect and manage a designated territory to maximize revenue growth
  • Be self-driven with the and ability to operate with a sense of urgency, be aggressive, competitive, and demonstrate a positive,
    winning attitude
  • Negotiate effectively based on value and time to close
  • Ability to understand client requirements and to clearly articulate the company's offerings to develop
    solutions to meet those requirements

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • 2 years of B2B sales experience within the lT or training industry preferred 
  • A passion for technology and for supporting customers to achieve their business objectives
  • Experience with growth of existing customers and Acquisition of new customers sales experience preferred
  • Ability to follow established processes and provide constructive feedback on processes
  • Exhibits strong prospecting skills, growth and hunter mentality with the ability to cultivate prospects
  • Easily handles objections and rejections and adaptability, and able to focus on what matters to the customer

Target hourly rate for this job requisition is anticipated to be approximately $21 - $27 hourly with average on target earnings including commissions of approximately $77,600 - $96,500 annually.

The company may modify salaries, salary ranges and/or Pay Plans from time to time as it deems necessary.
