The Associate Account Executive is responsible for building consultative and strategic relationships with designated accounts. This role focuses on identifying and matching client needs with Cision’s products and services to enhance client value while contributing to revenue growth and market share expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue growth through high-volume outreach via phone and email.
- Retain accounts and sell additional products/services to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as call volume, meetings, and other management-defined metrics while maintaining call quality standards.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Cision’s product portfolio and cross-sell effectively.
- Foster teamwork and promote a positive culture aligned with Cision’s values.
- Develop territory-specific marketing strategies and communicate goals with management.
- Collaborate with internal teams and subject matter experts to create integrated strategic solutions.
- Educate clients on new offerings and handle inbound requests from assigned accounts.
- Negotiate contracts to maximize and secure revenue, managing competitive negotiation challenges.
- Manage time efficiently to balance reactive and proactive responsibilities.
- Serve as a reliable point of contact for clients, ensuring strong client support.
- Deliver excellent customer service internally and externally.
- Provide timely and accurate business reporting to management.
- Apply Miller Heiman sales methodologies and maintain monthly activity metrics.
- Utilize Salesforce.com to manage pipeline, track client interactions, and forecast sales.
- Ensure timely contract renewals and perform additional duties as assigned by sales leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 1 year of sales experience preferred.
- Must be located in Cleveland or Albuquerque (hybrid work model: 2-3 days onsite).
- Strong interest in business communications, PR, and content.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce.com).
- Commitment to continuous professional development through an Individual Development Plan (IDP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Willingness to work flexible hours based on business needs.
