About the role

Our Financial Lines, Director's & Officer's practice in Sydney currently has an exciting opportunity available for an intelligent and motivated Associate with between 2-4 years' experience as this busy practice continues to grow.

The role includes handling complex financial lines, professional indemnity, construction and engineering, director and officers (D&O) matters, warranty and indemnity (W&I) and provides coverage and dispute resolution services to both corporate and commercial clients locally, nationally and internationally.

You will work closely on market leading matters within the team of highly respected and impressive Partners.

The nature and size of the team will mean that you will be heavily involved in all aspects of matters. Within a supportive environment, this allows you the autonomy and development opportunity to drive and make a significant contribution to the matter outcome.

About You

We're looking for an ambitious lawyer who enjoys working as part of a dynamic and collaborative team with the following experience:

  • General insurance litigation, financial lines, professional indemnity, and director and officers (D&O) experience is preferred.

  • Strong academic credentials, self-driven with excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently.

  • Commercial awareness and confidence in building a rapport with clients to gain a better understanding of their business' needs and with the assistance of the partner, actively developing these client relationships.
