Assoc Product Owner

Ameriprise Financial has an exciting new opportunity for an Associate Product Owner to join our team! This role will support cross-functional agile digital product teams with a focus on day-to-day execution and delivering on key product priorities. You will understand our users and work with product leads to maintain key information on user personas, user journeys, product metrics and benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Support execution of product strategy and delivery for one or more Agile Scrum teams. Represent the customer to the Product team. Partner with Sr Product Owner, UX Design Lead and Software Engineering Lead to assist in defining roadmap, backlog and sprint plans. Author user stories and provide context for product vision, strategy and requirements.

• Provide input on product vision - Assist in development and execution of digital product roadmap with a focus on measurable business outcomes. Assist in Defining Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the customer and business and regularly monitor progress toward goals. Regularly track and share progress with stakeholders and team

• Support product leadership to consult with product stakeholders and determine strategic roadmap prioritized list of feature improvements.

• Identify new opportunities to drive value and deepen customer relationship through ongoing assessment of customer needs and goals. Adjust product strategy in partnership with leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Strong business analysis and project management skills, with close attention to detail

• Hands on experience as product manager of software based solutions

• Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to clearly articulate concepts and rationale.

• Must possess a solid understanding of digital technologies and best practices

• Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant work experience

• 1-3+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an Agile environment

• Experience supporting marketing personalization within big organizations

• Strong communication skills to engage team, facilitate discussion, mentor team members and resolve conflict

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across technology and business teams

The estimated base salary for this role is $61,100 - $82,500 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
