The Role

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As an Assoc Prod Development Eng at First Development Batch (FDB), you will partner with operations function which is interface between R&D and Production ww. Department Ensure continuous workflow output with excellence – no deviation in production sites ww after First Batch manufactures in lab. In this role, you will report to the Team Manager First Development Batch.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Ensure FDB operations are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. Promote and maintain safety culture; attend and conduct/execute regular safety trainings and audits
  • Safety investigation of new product introductions.
  • Works with the Scheduler to ensure that the batches schedule is kept current and raw materials are kept in stock.
  • Track and review experiment by maintaining robust review process; Maintenance of logbooks, Creation of documents, SOPs and reports following, electronic notebook maintenance ISO norms etc.
  • Maintain all necessary spare parts available at site related in order for smooth running of equipment.
  • Supervise the use of chemical and physical analysis in the lab for immediate control of FDB process.
  • Regular supervision of equipment maintenance and calibration on SAP.
  • Organize regular housekeeping in the respective lab.
  • Establish a proper schedule for annual maintenance cost.
  • Prepare and maintain supportive documents-based IMS (Integrated Management System.
  • Support ISO certification and improve documentation according to HQ standards.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Electronic notebook understanding etc.
  • Ensure effective communication process that drives sustained performance. Sends reports, and updates to global counterpart on projects at regular intervals.
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 10 % of Travel is required.
  • Raw Material understanding and procurement.

Skills You Bring:

  • B.Tech / B.Sc. (Chemical Eng/Chemistry/Process engineering)
  • 0- 3 years of relevant professional experience (Production scale-up, production technology transfer) in in specialty chemical / Pharmaceutical industry. 
  • Excellent English language skills in speech and writing.
  • Quick adaptability
  • Understanding the project tasks and planning next steps
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Self-motivation, out of the box thinking, self-accountability, and strong sense of ownership.

Preferred Skills: (Optional)

  • Special interest in developing and up-scaling of technical processes.
  • Troubleshooting approach
  • Strong analytical and solution-oriented thinking skills, team spirit, sense of dedication.
  • Sense of cooperation and communication.
  • Excellent understanding of MS office tools such as Excel, power point etc.
  • Experience in working laboratories, developing formulations & products, and qualification.
