Your Role
We’re seeking a Principal Engineer to join the Proxy Technology team. Invesco’s proxy voting process is supported by a proprietary proxy voting application which is built, maintained & supported by a dedicated Proxy Technology team. Our global investment teams across the globe leverage Proxy Intel on a daily basis to execute proxy voting decisions. In this position, you will work closely with the Proxy Governance & Operations business group to design, architect, develop, and deploy cutting-edge capabilities to streamline Investment teams Voting workflows. The candidate will serve as a lead to oversee the technical work, guide the technical team and interface with stakeholders. We expect that you possess an architect mindset and are fluent/hands on in cloud data and cloud native application capabilities buildout and integration. You’ll be a part of a dynamic and collaborative team. You will lead the architectural and technical solutions design decisions for the Proxy platform. The ideal candidate is passionate about speed, quality, automation, and continuous delivery. You will be responsible for:
- A thought leader in large-scale distributed systems, microservices, web application, databases, AWS, and its related technologies.
- Hands on builder & cross functional leader,who can execute and strive for efficiency without compromising quality; capable of diving in and getting hands on where needed to keep technical development on track.
- An effective communicator with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Building Internal Proxy Proprietary platform using Cloud native application and Cloud data architecture (Snowflake), AWS, microservices, React, serverless event driven architecture, AG-Grid and test automation technologies.
- Lead the migration of Proxy Platform to cloud.
The experience you bring:
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience working as a full stack developer with modern Tech stack including Front end Web application development using React/Javascript.
- Familiarity with .Net framework.
- Strong production Experience in AWS cloud infrastructure and services, lambda, serverless architecture, Cloud Native application development and Snowflake
- Production experience with continuous integration (CI/CD), Bitbucket pipeline is a plus
- Test Automation experience with any test driven development framework is a plus
- Ability to pivot to new technologies as they become available. Keep pace with a constantly changing environment.
- Collaborate with users/stakeholders to translate business problems into technical requirements.
