About the Opportunity
Position Summary:
The Associate Director of Boston Programs reports to the Director and manages operations for the Boston ESL and Pathway Programs (Global Pathways and NU Immerse). This position provides oversight of program operations, academic operations, customer service, enrollment forecasting, program quality and improvement, and communications. The primary focus of this position is to provide outstanding oversight over the day-to-day operational processes to support the long-term programmatic vision of the Boston programs.
Responsibilities include:
· Manage and improve the student transition process from pre-matriculation program to degree program
· Provide quality direct service to undergraduate and graduate level students
· Tracking and compliance of student visas
· Develops academic calendar
· Manages AP credits for students
· Manages student electives
· Anticipating and managing student enrollment, generating and analyzing student information to evaluate programs and support academic advising, scheduling and staffing program courses to ensure student satisfaction, and collaborating with offices across campus.
· The Associate Director will coach and assist others in resolving complex issues related to various stakeholders including students, faculty, and staff from other internal offices. S/he will serve as the lead for new projects and initiatives related to program management and will document and improve current processes to reduce errors and improve responsiveness.
· This position will oversee the coordination of faculty and staff hiring and on-boarding.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
- 4-6 years operational/management experience, preferably in higher or international education
- Experience and skills in academic operations, project management, data analysis, customer service, and students and faculty support
- Ability to meet timelines and deliverables while exercising independent judgment
- Strong leadership and communication skills; teamwork and strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential
- Must be able to work well with many constituents: students, faculty, academic managers, and program offices from deans to support staff
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and flexibility in designing, understanding, and adjusting operational processes as required
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required
- Familiarity with basic statistical analysis required
- Experience using Salesforce and Banner preferred
