Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and enhance monitoring for servers and database instances to provide a comprehensive overview of health on-demand and historically
- Design, implement, maintain, and automate the appropriate backup and recovery architecture as required
- Develop and maintain database solutions, including schema design, optimization, and performance tuning
- Automate and streamline database-related tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reliability
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues
- Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies, trends, and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or Database Administrator
- Proficient in database technologies such as MSSQL Server, NoSQL
- Strong understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and optimization techniques
- Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining backup and recovery strategies
- Familiarity with cluster-based setups, delayed replication, and other advanced database concepts
- Familiarity with Powershell, Bash, Python for automation purpose.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
